About

Jay Suchower is a 24-year-old writer, illustrator, and comic artist from Pennsylvania. He is a recent graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design, earning a BA in Visual Studies, with minors in Creative Writing and Visual Development. He is currently pursuing an MFA in Sequential Art at Savannah College of Art and Design.

 

Born in 2000, he displayed an interest in the arts at a very early age. With his passion for learning, he continued to study art independently and academically from kindergarten to 12th grade, before finally committing to go to college for art.  He follows his personal philosophy that there is always more to learn and room to improve, and this motivates him to constantly progress and improve his artistic technique. 

 

He loves all things creative, and is trained in music as well as visual arts, having studied piano, guitar, voice, and music theory. Jay enjoys superhero comics, graphic novels, and sci-fi genres, which are additionally some of his favorite things to write about. He is passionate about mental health advocacy, the LGBTQ+ community, human rights, and social justice issues, and often implements these topics into his art. After graduation, Jay plans to pursue a career in graphic novels or visual development.
